Terms of Use
Effective October 22, 2026
These terms apply when you use the UrgentHomePros website (https://urgenthomepros.com), its guides and calculators, its embeddable tools and badges, or the phone number shown on it. By using the site you agree to them.
What this website is
UrgentHomePros publishes roofing, storm damage and insurance-claim information for Texas homeowners and offers a phone line that connects callers with independent roofing providers. We do not do roofing work, do not employ the roofers who respond, and do not set their prices. The referral disclosure explains how calls are routed and how the site is paid.
Guides and calculators are information, not advice
Guides, cost guides and calculators give general information and estimates based on public sources and the numbers you enter. They are not quotes, and nothing on this site is legal, insurance, tax or engineering advice. Your policy, your adjuster and your contractor decide what applies to your roof. For coverage questions, read your policy and ask your insurer; the Texas Department of Insurance links below are a good place to start.
Before you approve any roofing work
- Confirm the provider's business name, local address, insurance and price directly with them.
- Get the scope, price, materials and warranty in a written contract before work starts.
- Check that the provider will pull any permit your city requires.
- Never sign over your insurance claim or pay in full before the work is done.
- If there is danger from a collapsed roof, downed power lines, fire or gas, call 911 or your utility first.
Independent providers
Roofing providers are independent businesses. Each one is responsible for its own work, pricing, permits, insurance and warranties. Any agreement for roofing work is between you and the provider, and UrgentHomeProsis not a party to it. To the extent the law allows, this website is provided “as is” without promises about availability, response time or results. We would like to hear about any problem with a provider through the contact page.
Embeddable tools and badges
The calculators and data badges on our tools page may be embedded on other sites as long as the embed code, including its attribution link, is left unchanged. We may update, change or retire any tool at any time.
Content ownership
The guides, calculators, data tables and images on this site belong to UrgentHomePros or are used under licence. You are welcome to quote short passages or link to any page with credit. Copying whole pages, republishing our data without attribution or scraping the site in bulk is not allowed.
Links to other websites
Pages link to outside sources such as the Texas Department of Insurance, NOAA, the IRS and city permit offices so you can check facts yourself. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content or privacy practices.
Changes
We may update these terms as the site changes; the effective date above shows the latest version. The privacy policy explains how call information is handled.
Official resources before you hire a roofer
Texas has no state roofing license, so these official sources are the best way to check the rules on roofing contracts, deductibles and insurance claims.
- Texas Department of Insurance: roofing and insurance, know the law

- Texas Attorney General: how to avoid home improvement scams
